On behalf of the Honourable Joe Oliver, Minister of Finance, the Honourable Gerry Ritz, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Member of Parliament for Battlefords–Lloydminster, today announced the Government of Canada’s investment in a public-private partnership (P3) to support the construction of the Regina Bypass. The Minister was joined at the event by the Honourable Don McMorris, Minister of Highways and Infrastructure for the Province of Saskatchewan.
Subject to PPP Canada entering into a funding agreement with the Government of Saskatchewan, a contribution of up to $200 million will be provided through the P3 Canada Fund for the construction of the Regina Bypass. The Province of Saskatchewan will fund the remainder of the project costs, at a level which will be determined through a competitive P3 procurement process.
